Importance of Asbestos Abatement
What is Asbestos and why was it used?
Asbestos is a fiber with strength and heat resistance that has been used in a variety of building construction materials for insulation and as a fire retardant.
It has also been used in a wide range of manufactured goods, mostly in building materials (floor tiles, pipe wrap insulation, plaster, vinyl floor covering, and mastic).
ACM or “asbestos-containing materials” was most commonly found is homes and commercial building built pre-1980.
Why hire Clean Cut Abatement?
- Proper testing will be completed to determine what type of removal and disposal. During removal air monitoring will be done to confirm there was no cross-contamination.
- Once the removal is completed, air sampling is done to make sure the air quality is within state and federal limits (this is always done by a 3rd party licensed professional).
- We will ensure proper containment is set up, adequate negative pressure is maintained, proper PPE is worn, and ACM material is properly disposed of. Also, our experts can address any questions you may have like ” Should I buy a home with asbestos?” or “Can I legally remove asbestos myself?“.

How can you be exposed to Asbestos?
Asbestos fibers may be released into the air by the disturbance of asbestos-containing material during product use, demolition work, building or home maintenance, repair, and remodeling. In general, exposure may occur only when the asbestos-containing material is disturbed or damaged in some way to release particles and fibers into the air.
When this happens, asbestos is said to be “friable.” Friable asbestos is extremely dangerous to human health and should always be removed by a professional. It can cause lung cancer (mesothelioma), asbestosis, and many other health problems.
